Open Space Plans
Respond! can be used in many different ways in an office layout. Below are some alternatives for planning open spaces.
The products used inside a work area can change without changing the footprint of the layout. For example, lengths of screens can be different for more or less privacy or to open up walkways. Or you may choose between a Repoze Lounge or a similar size Sectional Bench.
Custom Designs
In these examples, Custom Designs, we demonstrate the use of different types and sizes of products in the same layout.
The advantage of this approach is that you can create interest using different heights and widths of screens as well as different desks and casual products.
Standard Cluster Layouts
In these examples, Standard Cluster Layouts, we demonstrate the repeated use of the same sizes and shapes of clusters.
Example 3 is a space plan that uses just two-way and three-way clusters. At key places in the design, we use hinges for connecting some of the clusters and include hinges in the three-way clusters. By designing in this fashion we have created a space plan that can be rearranged with little effort. All the products shown can be moved in/out of the space through the small door. Onsite assembly and installation is not required.
In Example 3, all the desks, lounges, and sectional products are nominally 72” at the front and 48” at the back. All the screens are 48”—any product can be paired with any screen cluster.
In Example 4, the same approach is used except all the products are 60” at the front and 36” at the back. All the screens are 36”—any product can be paired with any screen cluster in this layout too.
Uniform Layouts
In these examples, Uniform Layouts, all the workstations are the same.
This approach is especially valuable to a co-working facility or in a hybrid work environment as the configuration of each work area is identical and users can randomly occupy any they choose, without concern about the amenities. Manager workstations are located in private spaces or elsewhere in the facility.
Casual and conferencing areas are shared spaces in this concept.
If you study examples 5 and 6 closely, all the items and screen cluster shapes are identical. The difference in the layouts is simply the way products are oriented in the space.
