Power Everywhere You Work

A Respond! QikPac Carry is portable so you can work anywhere.

And everywhere you want to work.

Our workplace designs are no longer constrained by the need for 120V power.

Where do you want to work?

In the past, many of us viewed being at a desk as being at work. If we were not at our desks, we were not at work. This is a false dichotomy.

Times have changed. For some, working in a coffee shop is a way to work alone and still be around other people. Working from home can have its advantages. Working in a restaurant or cafeteria can be a choice.

Until now, all these choices had a few things in common.

  1. You needed access to a network as most jobs now require some interaction through the internet such as email, videoconferencing, or the ability to download files.

  2. The second need was a place to plug in 120V power. Of course, laptops have batteries but there are limits to the amount of time a battery will stay charged. Have you ever noticed the chaos at an outlet-challenged coffee shop?

The need for a universal internet connection will soon be solved as next-generation satellite technology, high-speed wireless, and other advancements will essentially blanket the world with connectivity.

Anywhere

In the design for our Respond! product line, we wanted to expand the places and ways people can work; to create truly agile workplaces. We imagined casual areas, cafeterias, outdoor patios, conference rooms, vehicles, remote co-working facilities, trade shows, customer facilities, and supplier facilities.

The result is our office furniture system includes much more than desk work areas. We added lounges and sectional casual products to the line. We included work tables that can accommodate one or a few people.

Enabling this is our power system. It is portable and can be set on top of a desk or a table. We added hooks in easily accessible places so they can be located under our tables. They are also ready for the patio. While it is not a good practice to expose Lithium-ion batteries to a heat source, the control system on-board will turn off the battery if you mistakenly place it in a vulnerable position.

Where can you work?

Anywhere you want to!
